A Treasure Valley military family received quite the surprise Thursday when they came home, as Christmas lights were covering their house.

2500 LED lights were put up in this custom display all free of charge to help make Christmas a little brighter for the military family.

It took a local company about 4-5 hours to set up all of the lights, and the family reaction was priceless.
The lights are part of a national program called Decorated Families where company's surprise active military families with the small gesture to show how appreciative we are of their service.

"We live in an area where we have active military around us and it's a great way for us to show support and appreciation for what they do everyday. It also is because we all have families and we know how hard it is to not have a family member home for the holiday season. Hopefully this provides a little lift for them at this time of year," said Christoper Weaver, branch manager at Christmas Decor by Senske.

The display is all set on timers so they don't even have to worry about turning them on and off.

The lights will stay up through Christmas.
