Idaho eyes German tourist with help from the federal goverment

Idaho Tourism is working with a video production company out of LA to encourage more German tourist to come to Idaho. They are highlighting some gems of the state like the Boise River Green Belt with the help of a German-speaking host. The project is in part federally funded. Tourism officials say the U.S.A has seen a 30% drop in international visitors since 2001 And say Germans love adventure and outdoors making Idaho an ideal destination. 
 
"The 30 scenic byways that we have the great outdoor beauty the wilderness areas and Germans are quite adventurous," explained Nancy Richardson of Idaho Tourism. 
 
Brand U.S.A was established by congress in 2010 to help increase tourist visits. The video highlighting Idaho will air online in the coming months.
