More than 200 members of the Idaho Air National Guard are back home in the Gem State, returning late Sunday night after a six month deployment.

The Guard members left in April for the deployment at Incirlik Airbase in Turkey in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

They were met last night by a crowd of family and friends.

"The fact that this many people came out on a Sunday night, this late, I have to say is impressive.  I know people have work or kids that have to go to school, but people showed up to support us.  It's a great thing after being gone so long and having that kind of support," said Staff Sgt. Andrew Jackson.

Among the Guard members deployed were pilots, aircraft maintainers and various support staff.

Operation Inherent Resolve is an ongoing campaign fighting ISIS.  It is made up of a coalition of more than 60 nations.
