A Boise man is on a mission to keep the most vulnerable in our community hydrated.

After collecting bottled water donations for about a week, Aron Luna spent the day Wednesday picking up all the water to distribute to area shelters. He didn't quite reach his goal this year of 5,000 bottles but he knows the approximately 3,500 bottles of water he gathered will help out.

Luna was pleased with the public's support and the additional drop off locations this year with 13 spots throughout the entire valley.

"There's a lot of people who just need water out there that just don't have it, especially clean drinking water rather than drinking out of the rivers or something," says Tony Prough, manager of Wrap World Inc. "It's a lot better for them."

By the end of the week, the water will be distributed to those most in need including programs that support the Treasure Valley youth.

"For the past three years, doing this has made me a better person. It's helped me and my kids and my wife," Luna says. "It's helped us kind of grow as a family because we see that there are so many families who don't have what we have."
