It’s now the time for holiday shopping and it is also the time for those culprits to be on the prowl.
The Boise Police Department is out in full force to make sure you and your belongings stay safe. Police and security will walk the mall and patrol the parking lots, but the best way to prevent it to happen is to be aware of the danger.
Here are some tips for holiday shoppers:
- Don’t carry too many items all at once. The more merchandise you have, the bigger the target.
- Remember to never leave valuables in plain sight inside your car.
- Be aware of your surroundings, check out who is around and make eye contact. Bad guys don’t want to be identified.
- When it’s time to leave, have your keys ready before heading to the parking lot.
