Gamers across the Treasure Valley are going all out to help local children in hospitals. For 24-hours starting Saturday afternoon gamers are playing and raising money for the Extra Life fundraiser. From video games to board and card games, they're doing it all in an effort to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, which includes St. Luke's in downtown Boise.

"It's not for us. We're not just here gaming because we can, we're here for the kids because eventually they become us and let's face it, nerds rule the world," said Adam McGuire a D.J. for 100.3 the X.

Last year, Adam raised over $2,000. To show Adam support, visit Phoenix Fire Games in Meridian or visit their website.
