Boise State is honoring a former Bronco who passed away from cancer earlier this year. #90 Duane Dlouhy Scored the game winning touchdown in the 1980 Camellia Bowl. Duane passed away this past spring at the age of 56 after being diagnosed with cancer.

On Saturday’s game versus the Wyoming Cowboys, Dwayne was named the honorary captain and his family and friends celebrated his life.

“It's been wonderful to see all the support and the love that we've had everybody and the BSU family just kind of solidified our love and our appreciation that we've had before and now it's like can be true blue with him,” said Duane’s Daughter Drew Hatfield.

Duane’s family urges people to donate to the Laura's Love Foundation to help other BSU alumni members and their families facing medical and hardship expenses.
