The F-35 aircraft is in Mountain Home from Hill Air Force Base in Utah to conduct training exercises.

Roughly 160 personnel came with the planes and pilots are testing the ability of the fighter jet.

"They’re pretending like Mountain Home is a deploy location.  It's the first time operational F-35’s from Hill have gone somewhere to do that so basically while they're up there they are looking at how many sorties they can generate and if they lose any sorties and if there are any maintenance issues and they'll also load and deploy weapons," 75th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Spokesman Micah Garbarino said.

The aircraft will be at MHAFB until June 17th.
