The Elmore County Sheriff's Office says it has pulled more than $80,000 worth of marijuana off the street.

Investigators say they found more than 44 pounds of marijuana in a vehicle during a routine traffic stop on Saturday, December 9th.

The traffic stop happened about 7:20 p.m. along Interstate 84, near Glenns Ferry.

Deputies arrested Joseph Severn, 26, and Brian Ebokosia, 28, both from Missouri.

“It appears the two were traveling from Oregon to Missouri,” said Elmore County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Kyle Moore.

“We’re seeing larger and larger amounts of marijuana come through our county -– and the state,” Moore said. “It’s becoming a common occurrence, since marijuana is becoming a big source of profit for traffickers.”

Both men were booked into the Elmore County Jail; each now faces a drug trafficking charge.
