Eastern Idaho police open fire on vehicle, arrest two

POCATELLO, ID - Pocatello police opened fire twice on a vehicle as part of a series of events involving a high-speed chase Thursday -- leading to a man and woman being taken into custody and transported to an area hospital.

Law enforcement officials have not confirmed whether anyone in the vehicle was shot in the incident that started at about 5 p.m. Thursday in Pocatello -- when police say they tried to arrest an individual with outstanding warrants.

The Idaho State Journal reports police arrested 27-year-old Terrence Griggs of Pocatello and 21-year-old Stacey Carter of Chubbuck.

They were taken by ambulances to a hospital for treatment, then booked into the Bannock County Jail.

Police say they are looking for a woman who jumped from the vehicle and fled.
