The Love Ridge fire burning near Bruneau has now grown to roughly 40,000 acres.

The fire sparked Sunday around 4:30 p.m around eight miles southeast of Bruneau.

There have been evacuations at the Bruneau Sand Dune State Park as a result of the blaze.  Those evacuations are being handled by the Owyhee County Sheriff's Office.

High winds played a role in that fire's aggressive growth.

In the Magic Valley the Antelope Fire has now burned  500 acres of grass and sage brush near mile post 157 on Highway 26. It was first reported just before 6:30 pm.

Neither fire is contained at this time, the causes are under investigation.
