Fire crews from several agencies are making great progress on a wildfire burning in Ada county near the Firebird Raceway.

The Bugle Boy Fire is now 90% contained, burning on the west side of Highway 16 between State Highway 44 and the Firebird Raceway.

The fire sparked between 8:00 and 8:30 pm and Eagle Fire Division Chief Nick Landry says it quickly grew to roughly 200 acres due to gusty winds.

Although stormy weather moved through the region around the time the fire started, it is still too soon to say exactly what caused this fire.

Originally, one structure was threatened, but no structures are threatened at this time, and no evacuations are in place.

Crews from Boise, Meridian, Middleton, Star and Eagle Fire Departments handled the fire with BLM crews.

20 units are on scene including one bulldozer.
