Two local families with children battling cancer saw first-hand support from the community Sunday at the fifth annual Boise's Got Faith run

The 5k and kids fun run took place at Julia Davis Park.

All of the proceeds from the event go towards the family of 3-year-old Eloise and 4-year-old Frankie who are both battling Leukemia.

The family of Eloise said the help from the community takes a huge weight off of their shoulders.

"Just to see this community respond in love for these kids, and just come out and support them and let these families know that they are not alone is really special," said Boise's Got Faith Director Ryan Stearn.

"It's incredible. It has flabbergasted us today looking around at how many people, people that I haven't seen since high school are here and it's just been fantastic to see the community as a whole come and love our kids and want to be apart of something beyond themselves," said Jenica Lawerence, Eloise's mom.
