Crews have the Cherry Road Fire 95 percent contained and expect to have complete containment of the fire by Monday.
The fire now totals 35,308 acres but fire managers say that change is due to updated mapping not actual growth. The Vale BLM will now take command of the fire.
Temporary flight restrictions in the area are expected to be lifted today.
The fire started on about 16 miles west of Homedale on Sunday and the cause remains under investigation.
