Idaho will celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, April 29, and the Idaho Forest Products Commission has a lot planned for the holiday.

If you want to plant a tree in honor of Arbor Day, the IFPC will give away more than 25,000 free Blue Spruce seedlings across the state. In the Treasure Valley, head to any Home Depot location, the Boise Co-Op, Whole Foods, or Touchmark at Meadow Lake Village in Meridian, to pick up a free seedling.

A tree planting ceremony will also take place at Capitol Park in downtown Boise, Friday at 10:00 a.m.
