Boise Police have arrested a Mountain Home man in connection with five armed robberies in Boise and one in Nampa. The robberies occurred between February 20 and March 13.

Last week while on patrol, a Boise Police Officer saw a vehicle and a subject matching the description of the suspect and vehicle connected to recent armed robberies.

The officer passed along information to BPD detectives who, during the course of their investigation, were able to find further evidence linking the suspect to the armed robberies, according to a Boise Police news release.
Police learned the suspect, identified as Cameron Brown, 20, was in Las Vegas. With the help of the U.S. Marshals Service, Brown was arrested on a warrant early Monday morning.

He is currently being held in the Clark County Detention Center.

Brown currently faces charges of robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Both are felonies.

Boise Police, Crime Stoppers and Ada County dispatch received numerous tips from the public that helped police with this investigation.  Boise Police also worked together with the Nampa Police Department, the Mountain Home Police Department, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office Action Team, The US Marshals Service and the FBI Criminal Apprehension Team to make this arrest, the release said.

"This was a string of violent crimes where a weapon was displayed in each robbery,” said Sgt. Justin Kendall of the Boise Police Department. “We are grateful to our community and our team of law enforcement partners who helped us with this investigation and ultimately led us to taking this dangerous suspect off the street.”

The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information related to this robbery investigation or the suspect is urged to contact police dispatch at 377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
