Flood water continues to wreak havoc on the Boise greenbelt and the Boise Police Department is urging people to stay away.

On Wednesday, officers on bikes as well as volunteers hit the Greenbelt to warn people of the dangers and handed out flyers showing a map of the closures. The Boise Fire Department has also posted a "Dangerous River Conditions" warning.

Parts of the greenbelt have washed away due to the high water. Police say education is the main method of enforcing the greenbelt closures, but as time goes on violators could be cited for a misdemeanor and fined.
