Boise Police say they have arrested a man in connection with the theft of several bags of luggage from the Boise Airport.

After investigating tips from the public, Boise Police detectives arrested Gary Haller, 55, of Meridian. He had already been booked into the Ada County Jail on Thursday, Oct. 26th on charges of possession of a controlled substance and eluding an officer. Authorities say those charges are unrelated to the two felony counts of grand theft he now faces in connection with the baggage thefts.

Detectives are continuing to look for a woman who they say is a “person of interest” in the investigation.

Police said the thefts occurred on October 8th.  A male suspect was caught throughout the day on surveillance video inside the airport. Evidence indicated he stole at least four bags from the baggage claim area, as well as other parts of the Airport, police said.

The woman, who was also caught on surveillance cameras, was seen wearing a “Sons of Anarchy” T-shirt.

Anyone with any information about the woman is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS (2677), www.343COPS.com, or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.
