Boise P.D. searching for suspects in aggravated assault and battery

Boise Police are on the lookout for three suspects they say flagged down a driver and then attacked him early Wednesday morning.

Police say the incident took place just after 2:00 am on June 14th, near the intersection of W. Emerald Street and N. Camelot Drive. Investigators say three men flagged down the victim's car, then when the victim got out of his car, assaulted him and pulled out a knife. When police arrived, they searched for the suspect's vehicle and the suspects, but were unable to locate them The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.

Boise Police say the three men made statements about the victim's national origin. As a part of the investigation, investigators are looking at this as a possible hate crime. They say the vehicle the three drove away in was a red truck. The victim describes the three men as Hispanic.
