A Boise man was arrested Wednesday afternoon and booked into the Ada County Jail on five felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators with his Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children unit arrested Steven James Dixon, 28, after receiving a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Investigation of the CyberTip revealed a number of videos and images of underage children had been downloaded and possibly saved, according to a news release from Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.

The investigation was a joint effort between Wasden’s office, the Boise Police Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

No further information about the case was released.

The Idaho Attorney General's ICAC unit is a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies that work with the ICAC Task Force to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the Internet to criminally exploit children.
