Members of the Boise High School “High Expectations” Choir are planning to head to New York City later this year to attend the prestigious Festival of Gold concert series.

Last April, the choir competed in the World Strides Heritage Music Festival in Seattle, Washington.

At the festival, they received a Gold Award with a score of 95 out of 100. They also received a special commendation from the festival adjudicators -- and were invited to participate in the Festival of Gold concert series held at Carnegie Hall.

“It is a tremendous honor for us to have received this invitation, and we are excited to make everyone aware that in April, 2016, we will be traveling to New York City and joining twelve other high schools from across the country for this performance,” said David Burton, BHS Choral Director.

If you would like to support the students, you can make a donation to the Boise High School Choir or support any of their upcoming fundraising events by contacting BHS Choral Director David Burton at 854-4353 or email: david.burton@boiseschools.org for information on how you can help.
