Bogus Basin plans to hire 500 seasonal workers over the next month for the 2016-17 ski/snowboard season.

A job fair is planned for this Saturday, October 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the J.R. Simplot Lodge. Most of the job openings are now posted online at www.bogusbasin.org.

This will be the 74th winter season for the nonprofit recreation area north of Boise, which employs 37 workers year-round

“We are looking for friendly, hardworking individuals who are excited about joining the Bogus Basin team,” said Bogus basin General Manager Brad Wilson, General Manager. “Free skiing is a great perk that all employees have the opportunity to enjoy.”

A range of full and part-time, weekend and holiday-only opportunities are available, including: ski instructors, snowboard instructors, chair riders, day care attendants, ski school sales clerk, lift operators, ski patrol personnel, ticket office workers, plow drivers, parking lot attendants, and more.

The area is also looking for a Nordic Operations Director to manage the Frontier Point Lodge and education center.

Last year, over 320,000 people visited the recreational area, Bogus Basin officials said.
