SILVER CITY – The Owyhee County Sheriff urges travelers to avoid using Black Mountain Road to Silver City.
The release came on Saturday after the Owyhee County Sheriff was called to a rescue yesterday evening and received reports of a vehicle stuck today.
“Please do not travel Black Mountain Road to Silver City. GPS offers that route and it is not open to passenger vehicles of any kind…Google maps are wrong,” said Owyhee County Sheriff.
The best route to reach Silver City, Owyhee County Sheriff said to continue past Murphy to Silver City road.
