Thursday night around 9:20 p.m., Meridian Police were dispatched to a car vs. pedestrian crash.
Upon arrival police discovered a 61-year-old man in the westbound driving lane of E. Ustick Road - approximately 400 feet of the intersection with N. Meridian Road. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.
So far, police know the pedestrian was struck by a 1998 Jeep Cherokee driven by a sixteen 16-year-old male. Police believe the pedestrian, wearing dark clothing, entered the roadway outside of a crosswalk. They do believe alcohol was involved. No charges or citations have been issued at this time.
The Ada County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the reconstruction of the collision.
