Home Entertainment Preview: December 11
(Ted - Universal - Rated R)
Ted is crass, foul, filthy and decidedly not politically correct - it's everything you expect from a Seth McFarlane film…it's also extremely funny. The jokes are constant…I laughed from beginning to end, and never stopped. It is the funniest movie of the year! The unrated version comes to disc along with a gag reel, commentary and a three part featurette. The blu-ray adds deleted scenes, alternate takes, and a featurette.
(The Bourne Legacy -Universal - Rated PG-13)
The Bourne Legacy finally kicks into gear after 30 minutes and gives some good action. But without seeing the first three Bourne movies, you'll be completely lost. As far as this one is concerned, just don't think about it…its silly plot is best if you check your brain at the door. Extras include deleted scenes, commentary and two featurettes. The blu-ray adds five featurettes.
(Ice Age: Continental Drift - 20th Century Fox - Rated PG)
Ice Age: Continental Drift finds the lovable saber-toothed squirrel, Scrat front and center. The plot is put in motion by him and his pursuit of acorns. This is a fun adventure filled with tons of action and a lot of laughs.
Special features include four featurettes, deleted scenes and more.
(Futurama Volume 7 – 20th century fox – Not Rated)
From the creator of The Simpsons, the Comedy Central series Futurama Volume Seven comes to DVD with 13 episodes on 2 discs along with commentary, an alternate ending, deleted scenes, a featurette and more.
(Kill Em All – Well Go USA – Not Rated)
Kill ‘Em All is the aptly named cross between Saw and any martial arts movie you want. The first five minutes feature about two dozen kills. It’s silly but slightly entertaining. There are no Bonus Features.
