(Lawless - The Weinstein Company - Rated R)
Lawless is bloody and hyper violent, featuring great performances from the stellar cast. It's got a lot of action, is involving, and is pretty terrific.
Extras include commentary, deleted scenes and two featurettes.
(ParaNorman - Focus Features - Rated PG)
ParaNorman is a fun, but scary story that’s not for little kids or those who are sensitive to scary images. But it's one that parents will enjoy along with their older kids. Special features include seven featurettes, commentary, and more.
(Men in Black 3 - Columbia - Rated PG-13)
Men in Black 3 is nothing all that spectacular, but it is a fun, mind bending time travel tale, and a nice wrap up to the series. Extras include a gag reel and a featurette. The blu-ray adds a game, five featurettes and the 3-D blu-ray adds two featurettes.
(Sparkle - Tristar Films - Rated PG-13)
Sparkle made me sad. It was Whitney Houston's last film, which was unfortunate, and stars Jordin Sparks who I like. But I hated the film.
Bonus features include commentary and two featurettes. The blu-ray adds two featurettes and more.
(Step Up Revolution - Summit Entertainment - Rated PG-13)
Step Up Revolution is the fourth in the series. You'd think by the time number four rolls around, there is nothing left in the tank. But you'd be wrong. I was mesmerized by the fantastic flash mob dances. Extras include music videos, deleted scenes, commentary, and four featurettes.
(The Apparition - Warner Brothers - Rated PG-13)
The Apparition is a silly thriller that is devoid of thrills, chills or even a single goose bump. Bonus Features include a featurette. The Blu-ray adds three featurettes.
