Clint Eastwood, a remake, a cop thriller, and Jennifer Lawrence headline this weeks releases in theaters. 

(Trouble With the Curve – Warner Brothers – Rated PG-13)
Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, and John Goodman star in PG-13 rated Trouble With the Curve. Eastwood plays one of the best scouts in baseball, but, despite his efforts to hide it, age is starting to catch up with him. Nevertheless, he refuses to be benched for what may be the final innings of his career. The front office is starting to question his judgment, but the one person who might be able to help is also the one person he would never ask: his daughter.

(Dredd 3-D – Lionsgate – Rated R)
In R rated Dredd 3-D, the future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, lies Mega City One- a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called "Judges" who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of a dangerous drug epidemic.

(End of Watch – Open Road Films – Rated R)
Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena, Anna Kendrick and America Ferrera star in the action thriller End of Watch as young Los Angeles police officers as they patrol the meanest streets of south central Los Angeles, focusing on the price they and their families are forced to pay.

(House at the End of the Street – Relativity Media – Rated PG-13)
Jennifer Lawrence and Elisabeth Shue star in PG-13 rated House at the End of the Street. Seeking a fresh start, a newly divorced mother and her daughter find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, they learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Joaquin Phoenix and Laura Dern star in The Master – Based on the beginnings of Scientology, this drama is about a charismatic intellectual and members of his faith-based organization.

(Robot and Frank – Samuel Goldwyn Films – Rated PG-13)
In Robot and Frank, Frank is a retired burglar living in upstate New York in the not-too-distant future. He has a crush on the librarian. He seems forgetful and his adult children worry about him, so they buy a robot to take care of him. When Frank decides he can turn his caregiver into an accomplice, he finds a new zest for life. Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, Liv Tyler and James Marsden star, it’s rated PG-13.
