The Pirates! Band of Misfits is a wonderful, screwball comedy with something for everyone! Packed with irreverent fun and filled with hilarious, clever one-liners, this visual treat is a boatload of fun for the whole family! Bonus features include a mini move, commentary, and a game. The blu-ray adds a game, two featurettes and short films.
(Darling Companion - Sony - Rated PG-13)
With its admirable cast, Darling Companion seems like it can't lose, but it has mostly unlikeable characters and gets awfully repetitive…It isn't so darling after all. Extras include commentary, and four featurettes.
(‘50’s TV Classics – Film Chest – Not Rated)
There are some gems in ‘50’s TV Classics, this three disc set of classic television from the 1950’s. There are over eight hours of classic shows from the golden age of television starring Bob Hope, Milton Berle, Red Skelton and more. I especially loved the Ed Wynne Show with his special guests The Three Stooges. It’s My Pick of the Week!
(Headhunters - Magnolia - Rated R)
The best movie of the week is the Norwegian thriller, Headhunters. It has a great plot full of twists and turns, loads of action, and a few laughs. I was thoroughly entertained by this crime caper. Special features include a featurette
(Think Like A Man - Sony - Rated PG-13)
Near constant shilling for Steve Harvey's book ruins Think Like A Man - when it might have been a decent movie. The few laughs this film gets are stomped on by Harvey blathering on about his book again, the cast talking about it, or another shot of the cover. Extras include a gag reel, deleted scenes. The blu-ray adds three featurettes.
