The Wishing Star Organization is celebrating 25 years of granting wishes to sick children. It is a bittersweet day for the Rodriguez Family. Their son Marcus recently passed away from leukemia. Marcus' mother said, "Marcus was always the funniest, happiest one in the room. Always the one making the most jokes even though he was the most sick in the room."
Wishing Star wanted to grant Marcus a wish, his wish was to give his to another child. 3-year old Jessica Jenkins' ballerina dream was made complete with an outfit and dancing lessons. Jessica's father Taylor said, "I'm just really grateful that we have Jessica, and that Marcus wanted to leave a wish for her."
