The downtown economy is striking again, this time it will be Opa shuttering it's doors. The Boise nightspot won't be gone for long though Owner Max Mohammadi will move the bar into his restaurant Cazba. The move will include the classic bar.
Times have been tough for downtown businesses over the last few years. Several locally owned restaurants have either closed or moved to the suburbs. Opa wasn't spared, although Mohammadi has options the other owners really didn't. "We're going through some growing pains if you will, and we're making it a bigger better place to come hang out," Mohammadi said.
Opa's final day will be March 20th. By the 26th the current location will be completely empty.
