Internet crimes against children are mainly crimes of sexual exploitation of children and police said they are one the rise.
According to the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, stopping people from exploiting children on the internet is becoming more difficult everyday. That's why they rely heavily on the public's help.
"We try new techniques; new computer programs to go after these people and identify them," said the commander of Idaho's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Jim Kouril.
The ICAC said they have been more aggressive in pursuing these types of criminals. They said it's important for parents to know who their kids talk to online.
"We encourage parents if they have a home computer keep it in a common room where the whole family can participate about the computer activity," said Kouril.
But as technology gets more advanced and more people surf the web, ICAC said it's a constant battle to protect children from the cyber world.
"As soon as we make 1 arrest there's still 100's of people to go after," said Kouril.
