Big Day for the Idaho Foodbank

Saturday was a good day for the Idaho Foodbank, thanks to Albertsons donating a much needed $50,000.

"We've got more and more need that is really pushing our resources," said Karen Vauk, President of the Idaho Foodbank.

Albertsons also gave the Idaho Foodbank two trucks they can use to deliver and pickup food. Alberstons had a goal to send the new trucks back the foodbank full of food. To help make that goal become a reality, Pete Stauffer from J-105 and K.J. Mac from 107.1 K-Hits came out for a food drive competition between radio stations. During the competition both K.J. and Pete brought in six barrels of food for the Idaho Foodbank. After the food was collected and on its way to needy families, 107.1 K-Hits was declared the champion.
