The Idaho Foodbank expects to give out more turkeys than ever this holiday season. The Food Bank is preparing for a thirty percent increase in demand for emergency food this winter. And the need for holiday turkeys will also be up. That's why the non profit needs to raise money or encourage food donations so we they will have at least 20,000 turkeys to provide holiday meals for hungry families across the state.
Last year, The Idaho Foodbank distributed a record 18,436 holiday meats (turkeys, hams and chickens) statewide. This year, with foreclosures and food stamps at record levels, the demand for turkeys will undoubtedly be much higher. You can help. A $25 donation provides two turkeys.
