This weekend in Boise there is a little something for everyone. Whether you’re a family looking to keep your kiddos entertained, a night owl looking for a place to grab a drink, or fall somewhere in between- there is a happening in the Treasure Valley for you!

For the Family:

Kick off the weekend with Boise State University’s Annual Family Holiday Concert at the Morrison Center this Friday, December 9th at 7:30 PM. Brought to you by Boise State University’s Music department, this show is perfect for holiday gurus and music-lovers alike! You can get your tickets through Tickemaster, for more information about this event, click here.

Friday and Saturday this weekend catch the final performances of the holiday classic Miracle on 34th Street at the Boise Little Theater. Tickets vary from $11-$14, you can find more information about this show and purchase your tickets here.

Every Saturday until Christmas, take your kiddos to Backstage Bistro at the Village at Meridian for Breakfast with Santa! This event gives your little ones an opportunity to meet the man in the red suit and write him a letter. Be sure to RSVP to this event here, tickets cost $10/person, children 2 and under are free!

For Everyone:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday you can stop by our favorite sandwich shop in downtown Boise to grab a bite to eat and enjoy some local music! Even Stevens Sandwiches will have local artists performing from 7-9 PM on Friday and Saturday evening as well as from 12-2 PM Sunday afternoon. (Side note: did you know that for every sandwich you buy from Even Stevens, they donate one to a local nonprofit? You can read more about their mission for helping the community here.)

Join Boise Bike Project for their “Light Up the Night Ride” this Friday evening from 6-9 PM. Dec out your bike with lights and ride from BBP’s location in downtown Boise over to Chipotle Mexican Grill where 50% of proceeds will go towards benefiting the Boise Bike Project.

Make sure you swing by the Capital City Public Market this Saturday as it is the second to last Saturday Market until springtime. The market is located on 8th Street in downtown Boise and runs from 10 AM to 2 PM!

For the Night Owl:

Head over to Centurylink Arena this Friday for “Front Street Fights”. Vince “Vendetta” Morales will duke it out with Andrew “Hurricane” Cruz for the vacant Featherweight Title. This event begins at 6 PM and tickets start at $15!

This weekend have yourself a little Sunday Funday! On the 11th from 1-3 PM Indian Creek Winery will be hosting a “Wino Arts ‘n Crafts” where you’ll make wine bottle angels while enjoying a glass of vino! Tickets cost $20 and you can purchase them here.

If wine ain’t your thing but you love a local brew, be sure to swing by PreFunk Beer Bar this Sunday! At 2 PM they’ll be hosting a board game meet-up at their Boise location on Front Street. Sip on a local beer while playing one of your favorite games with fellow Boiseans. (For each board game you bring you get $1 off of you beer!)
