Nampa Chamber of Commerce HealthFest
The Nampa Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 9th Annual HealthFest, a free community event on Saturday March 16th, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The HealthFest will feature “Ask the Doc” sessions, free health screenings, a “man cave" and free immunizations for kids.
Kids can explore the digestive track, play Wii fitness games or take a break in a reading area. In the “man cave," guys can test their fitness level by competing for a fast pitch speed or enjoy an Xbox challenge. Men can also take a break for a prostate screening from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. For women, there is the mammogram mobile, for free mammogram and bone density testing.
Free immunizations for youth ages 4 to 19 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please bring your immunization records. Screenings for glucose and cholesterol require an 8 hour fast prior to the blood draw and will be available 9:00 am to noon.
“Ask the Doc” sessions will run throughout the day and feature local physicians providing information and answering questions on topics such as emergency, urgent and injury care, the ideal protein, neck and low back pain, sleep apnea and more.
Over 50 exhibitors will also be present with fitness demos, product samples, screenings, and activities for kids, prizes & raffles.
