The Boise Police 512 Fund and the Meridian Police Employee Association will host a fundraiser Thursday, March 7th in partnership with Chick-Fil-A locations in both Meridian and Boise.

In this first of its kind fundraiser for injured and fallen officers, Chick-Fil-A will donate 15% of all food and drinks purchased March 7th to the BPD 512 Fund and MPEA’s Injured/Fallen Officer Fund.

“The non-profit 512 Fund was established by Boise Police employees in honor of Boise Police Officer Mark Stall, badge #512, who was killed in the line of duty September 20th, 1997. The primary purpose of the 512 Fund is to provide emergency financial and logistical assistance to eligible family members of injured officers from outside the Boise area who are transported to Boise for emergency medical treatment,” said event organizer and MPEA Association President, Sgt. Shawn Harper.

The Fundraiser for Injured-Fallen Officers and their families will be from 6:30 a.m. – 10:00pm on March 7th at Chic-Fil-A locations on Eagle Road in Meridian and Broadway Avenue in Boise. Throughout the day, officers from both agencies will be stopping by the restaurant locations in their city and McGruff the Crime Dog will also make appearances at both locations. Information will be available at the Chick-Fil-A restaurants in both Boise and Meridian for citizens to learn more about how to support these important community causes.
