Weather forecasting isn't only important for day-to-day plans and activities, but many people right here in the Treasure Valley depend on a good forecast to make a living; our area farmers and agricultural specialists. This is why Bri Eggers, the daughter of a local 4th-generation peppermint farmer, has always had a passion for watching the skies over Idaho.
Bri is a former Kuna Kaveman Cheerleader and a graduate of San Diego State University - but still of course, a Broncos Fan! She's also no stranger to Idaho airwaves, having worked her first media job right here in the Treasure Valley, and most recently behind the microphone at NewsRadio KINF, 99.1FM.
During her college career, Bri traveled all over Europe, including a summer program at Oxford University, a study abroad program in Holland, and even a stint working at EPCOT in Disney World, Orlando. In the end though, just as Dorothy said when she was in Oz, Bri couldn't get away from the truth: "There's no place like home."
Some think of forecasters as just "weather guessers," but Bri actually craves the science of the forecast. She is always in search of why things are the way they are. So, Bri is currently enrolled in the Certified Broadcast Meteorology program from Mississippi State University, and feels lucky to be able to apply her education to her work.
As a home grown native, Bri knows what you might be planning for your day in the Gem State, and she wants to make sure you're prepared for it... rain or shine.
She would love to see your weather photos! From fall foliage, to spring flowers, or snowboarding, running, hiking... etc. Bri knows there's no better place for the great outdoors than here in Idaho!
