A new form of corrective eye surgery is providing hope for those who don't qualify for Lasik surgery. With Visian ICL, a lens similar to a contact is actually injected into the eye. Experts say the procedure allows patients to have a clearer future, "This lens came out about a year ago or so, and it's a much faster recovery, it's a quicker surgery and patients really bounce back very quickly."
Besides the quick turn around time, there are other benefits; the lens can be removed or replaced if needed. With Lasik, the fix is permanent, because the cornea is reshaped.
