BOISE, Idaho (AP) - The state Public Charter School Commission holds a special meeting Monday to examine a publicly funded Idaho school's use of religious texts. Nampa Classical Academy has sued the commission, charging the state with illegally forbidding it from using the Bible in the classroom.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A 35-year-old Caldwell man convicted this week of molesting a young girl has pleaded guilty in a separate case to injuring his young sons. Kekoa Gaunavinaka (gahn-AH'-veen-ah-kha) pleaded guilty yesterday to two counts of felony injury to a child. He told the court he used a tree branch to discipline the children and another time struck them with a shower curtain rod.

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - A nurse at the Bannock County Jail in eastern Idaho is charged with four felonies for allegedly stealing medication intended for inmates and substituting less potent medication. Thirty-9-year-old Margaret Robinson Kirby is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 2.

COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - The Burlington Northern Santa Fe refueling depot in Huetter is in compliance with local environmental regulations. Months after the $52 million facility was finished in 2004, a leak extended to the underlying Rathdrum-Prairie aquifer. The facility was also shut down by the state in 2005 when diesel was discovered on a liner.
