MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) - Going to a first bowl game for the first time in more than a decade paid off for Idaho in recruiting.
Coach Robb Akey said Wednesday that the surprising success of the Vandals in 2009 translated into more success in landing future players.
He was particularly pleased to land four players from the Moscow area. They include 321-pound offensive lineman Spencer Beale of Lewiston, defensive end Jesse Davis of Asotin, Wash.; quarterback Justin Podrabsky of Lewiston and running back Jayson Washington of Moscow.
