Deadly Rollover Crash Near Fort Hall

A deadly rollover crash happened at 7:01am this morning on Interstate 15 at milepost 63 near Fort Hall Mine Road. Idaho State Police say 39-year-old Jared Rasmussen was traveling northbound on Interstate 15 when he lost control of his car. The car slid into the median and rolled, coming to rest on top of the guardrail. Police say Rasmussen was not wearing a seat belt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The road was covered in snow and ice. Idaho State Police were assisted by Pocatello EMS and Bannock County Search and Rescue. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
