BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A judge has decided there is enough evidence against a 31-year-old charged with second-degree murder in a fatal stabbing outside a Boise bikini bar to let the case proceed to district court.
A preliminary hearing for Tariq McWilliams, of Idaho City, was held in 4th District Court Monday.
Police were called to the Torch Lounge on Sept. 24 by a witness who said a man had just been stabbed.
Emergency workers transported 30-year-old Boise resident Jason Tipton to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told police several men were arguing in the parking lot and it escalated into a physical fight just before the stabbing.
The Idaho Statesman reports McWilliams is scheduled to enter a plea Nov. 30.
