MONTPELIER, Idaho (AP) - Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed the Butch Cassidy Restaurant and Saloon in Montpelier.
The Idaho State Journal reports that Assistant Fire Chief Rick Merritt says the popular eatery was gutted and appears to be a total loss.
Merritt says the Wednesday morning blaze appears to have started in the kitchen. Roughly 30 firefighters from the Montpelier and Bear Lake County departments responded and were able to keep the flames from spreading to any nearby buildings.
