Idaho set to change plea in fatal crash case

Associated Press - November 6, 2009 12:54 PM ET

RUPERT, Idaho (AP) - Minidoka County Prosecutor Lance Stevenson says a teen charged with felony vehicular manslaughter has reached a plea agreement with his office.

The Times-News reports that 18-year-old Braun Catmull of Paul is expected to plead guilty to a lesser charge and be sentenced in Minidoka County court in December.

Prosecutors say Catmull crashed his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado into a 1984 Toyota SR5 driven by 26-year-old Steven Damron of Burley on Jan. 3. Damron was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene; Catmull spent 11 days in the hospital with a broken neck and internal injuries.
