POST FALLS, Idaho (AP) - The city of Post Falls has named a 5-acre park after Hilde Kellogg, a longtime former lawmaker and local leader.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reports that Kellogg, who served 10 terms in the Idaho Legislature, attended the dedication of Hilde Kellogg Park on Wednesday. She says she's in awe of the honor, and though she's proud of what she's done she couldn't have done it without her fellow northern Idaho residents.
Kellogg is now 91 years old. She retired from the Idaho Legislature when she was 88. She also served as a city councilwoman, chamber president and was the first female member of the Post Falls Kiwanis.
