Police Search For Hit And Run Drivers

            A 13 yr old boy was struck while riding his bicycle on Monday by a mini-van causing severe injuries.  The driver of the van left the scene without identifying herself or calling emergency personnel.  The accident occurred at approximately 5pm, near the intersection of 10-Mile and Cherry Ln in Meridian.  The boy was riding on 10-mile when the van left the parking lot of Walgreen's and struck the boy. 

            The victim was taken to the hospital by his parents where it was discovered he suffered a head injury, internal chest injuries, and a broken arm.  Meridian police are searching for the driver of the van who is described as a white female, 40-45 yrs old, with short dark brown hair.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Officer Audra Urie, at 888-6678.
