A Payette County Sheriff's Office Lieutenant has been arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Sheriff Chad Huff says, "On October 1, 2009, at approximately 11:50 pm, Payette County Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Troy Sallee was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. He was arrested in Payette County and incarcerated in the Payette County Jail."
Sallee had been placed on Administrative Leave Monday, September 28, pending an internal investigation into other allegations when this incident occurred. A press release says Sallee has since resigned.
Sheriff Chad Huff went on to say, "I am saddened by the news of Sallee's arrest. He was a trusted administrator and had worked for the Payette County Sheriff's Office for many years. With this being said Sallee is not above the law and will be held accountable for his actions. I am grateful to the men and women who work in law enforcement and uphold the laws without reservation and partiality".
