Boise police have arrested an Idaho City man on a charge of second degree murder.

Police say 31-year-old Tariq McWilliams stabbed a man outside the Torch Lounge early this morning.

Officers and medics were called to the adult entertainment business on West Main Street just after 1 am.

Two men got into a fight in the parking lot outside the club, when one of the men stabbed another in the chest, police said.

The victim, a Boise man in his 30's, was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

"As far as the injury itself, as often time happens, especially when there a knife or sharp-edged weapon, the victim initially may have not realized that he'd been stabbed," said Lt. David Adams. "He actually walked a short distance away when they (witnesses) realized that there was blood present and that he'd been injured."

Police have not said what started the fight.
