A 37-year-old Meridian Middle School teacher has been arrested, accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy. Ashley Beach was in court Friday, charged with lewd conduct with a minor.

Police say they found Beach and the boy on the ground together behind bushes near Cherry Lane and Vineyards.  The officers claim there were several inconsistencies in their stories as to why they were there, so detectives were called in. After further questioning prosecutors say Beach admitted to having a sexual relationship with the boy since April.

Detectives tell us Beach and the boy was a student in one of her classes last year.

Beach's bond was set at $300,000 on Friday. The Meridian School District has placed Beach on administrative leave.
