SHOSHONE, Idaho (AP) - Shoshone police arrested Lincoln County Commissioner Charles Joseph Ritter on suspicion of drunken driving.
Police Chief Jon Daubner stopped the 51-year-old Ritter early Sunday, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in 5th District Court. In the affidavit, Daubner said he pulled Ritter over after watching him make a wide turn and twice cross the fog line. Daubner said Ritter refused to submit to a breath test, and had two half-full, open beer bottles in the car.
Ritter declined to comment on the case when approached by The Times-News. The Associated Press could not immediately reach Ritter.
